Dear New Line Cinema,
The Stephen King novel, The Long Walk, has been my research project for the past year.
I have read it twenty five times, sharing my knowledge on my
web site and
YouTube Channel, dedicated solely to The Long Walk.
I am offering my
knowledge and expertise to help improve or promote
the movie.
Ways I can help:
- Give my feedback on the screen-play
- Give my feedback on early cuts of the movie
- Help with the web site (I'm a web-developer)
- Create a mobile App to simulate The Long Walk to gamify exercise (I'm a software developer)
- Promote the movie by walking the 440-mile route while making daily vlogs
- Help organize an actual long walk for charity with 100 people (picked randomly from lottery) of the 440-mile route
- Help organize a 24-hour long walk for charity (which could leverage the app)
- Help organize long walks between cities in the book, like Limestone to Caribou, or Lewiston to Freeport
Other ideas to promote the movie:
- Toys and action figures like Funko POP! figures of the major characters
- Chess board: Soldiers pawns, Garraty King, Jan Queen, Stebbins Rook, McVries Bishop, Barkovitch Knight
- Social media like Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Snapchat, Reddit, YouTube
- Have the actors do a fun-walk of 10 miles
- New cover featuring actors
- The Long Walk comic
- The Long Walk TV series. 3 seasons for past, present and future
- Hard-cover printing

- Defined the timeline for the book
- Calculated the exact route based on the timeline
- Road tripped the route
- Defined the rules in great details
- Reviewed every long-walk YouTube video (in English)
- Designed a cardio-workout based on the long walk rules
- Updated Wikipedia
and the Stephen King Wiki
- Write my own fan-fiction, like The Long Walk in the year 2020
- Hired an artist to create the most accurate fan-art
- and so much more!
