Description: In the text message accompanying this city, Mayor Hayre asserts
that this city has a good layout, but requests that someone fix some of
the city's problem. Well, I hate to disagree (OK, you're right, I love it)
but the problem with this city is the layout.
The core feature of this city is a grid of highways that divides the city
into 10 by 12 rectangles. Not only does this take up a lot of space, but it
also has a suppresive effect on the sims. The city also has 81 police depart-
ments for a population of only 112k. The expense of supporting the police
results in a huge budget deficit. Of course the city has a zero crime rate,
and the mayor is very popular, but I have a feeling that things wouldn't
be going so well if taxes were raised to where they actually supported
the city.

Description: It's the mid-sixties, Willard White (That's Howard Hughes, for
you James Bond impaired folk) has just bought up all the casinos on the strip,
but the Mob still runs the town. Las Vegas is short of water, and has a
crime rate of 36. Funny, though, the city doesn't use hydro (much): Whatever
happened to the Hoover Dam?
Seriously, this isn't a very good model of Las Vegas (Being an easterner,
I had to go over to Yahoo and check). There are a couple of interesting
features. The Mayor's statue is on the top of a 1100 foot mountain, that has
a longish tunnel running through the bottom. There is an interesting pool
around some arcos, and i love the signs, especially the one about Roswell.

Description: Lochaline's biggest feature is the very large (and well done)
hydro-heap (over 1000 feet), with the mayor's statue perched at the apogee.
The nicest thing about the city is the way that it is fit into the landscape.
Some of the terrain features are still in place (or perhaps they were placed)
and the city is built around them. There is also some nice use of tunnels and
railway/subway transitions. What's the point of a city with a Scottish
name without Nessie?
