SCURK Credits for DOS:
Goin' on a spooty hunt....I'm not afraid...Oh no! It's a Spooty Struct!
SCURK Credits for Win:
All Structs in this code are 100% Spooty free.
Can't step through it...Can't re-assemble it...Can't debug it...Just have'ta
copy it!
ClubOpolis asked Chris Weiss at Maxis:
"What's a spooty struct?"
Chris Weiss e-mailed back: The DOS programmer was kind of weird,
he used to use all kinds of weird variable and subroutine names.
While trying to update the code after the DOS
guy left, the new programmer was pulling his hair out trying to deal with
the weird variable names, one of the most annoying pieces of code (that, of
course, caused the most problems) was a structure of code that was just
labeled "spooty". Thus the birth of the "spooty struct". We've immortalized
it in the credits for almost every game since.
