Converting between IBM and Mac:  NOTE: The following information is for Mac users only:
 
	How to convert an IBM file to a Mac file:
 
	- Copy file to disk
	
 
	- Eject disk
	
 
	- Start up whatever MS-DOS transfer utility you have. (Apple File Exhange will work)
	
 
	- Insert the disk containing the city
	
 
	- Copy or transfer the file to your SimCity folder
	
 
	- Start the ResEdit program on your Mac
	
 
	- Pull down the File menu in ResEdit and select the Open Command
	
 
	- Open the city file by clicking on it's name in the Open File dialog box
	
 
	- You will get the message "The file 'MyCity.sc2' has no resource fork. Opening it will add one. Do you wish to open it?" Click the OK button.
	
 
	- Pull down the File menu and select Get Info for MyCity.sc2
	
 
	- In the Get Info dialog box that next appears, type in CITY for the Type and SCDH for the Creator.
	
 
	- Pull down the File menu and select Close
	
 
	- The next dialog box will ask "Save MyCity.sc2 before closing?' Click Yes.
	
 
	- Exit ResEdit
	
 
	- Start SimCity 2000 for the Mac and Load the city. It should work.
	
 
 
	You can use other IBM-to-MAC utilities for example FileBuddy which
is Public-Domain ShareWare.
 
	How to convert an IBM file to a Mac file using FileBuddy.
 
	- Drag the PC City file onto FileBuddy.
	
 
	- It'll launch with the PC city file open.
	
 
	- Pull down the File menu and select Info.
	
 
	- Set the Type to CITY and the Creator to SCDH, then save.
	
 
	- It will write over the PC city file with a Mac version.
	
 
 
 
	How to convert a Mac file to an IBM file:
 
	- Copy the city file to a DOS disk using the Apple File Exchange Utility or some other DOS file exhange program that allows you to read MS-DOS disks on the Mac.
	
 
	- Rename the file with a name that can include up to 8 characters followed by a period and the characters SC2 (for example MYCITY.SC2). No spaces area allowed between characters.
	
 
	- Once you have copied the file to an MS-DOS diskette, you can now carry it over to your IBM, insert the disk and copy the file to your SimCity sub-directory.
	
 
	- Start SimCity 2000 for the IBM and Load the city. It should work.
